Sergey Artemiev, Partner in ALRUD Tax Practice, practices Russian law and serves as our head of comprehensive structuring.
Sergey's main areas of expertise include structuring complex transactions, business and personal models for asset ownership and management both in Russia and internationally, restructuring intra-group debt, improving the efficiency of business processes through the use of tax relief, and tax and investment planning.
He also assists clients in tax disputes and pre-audit tax analysis, has extensive experience in tax investigations and tax audits, as well as practical knowledge in foreign economic activity, currency regulation, countersanctions, and tax compliance. Altogether this is a unique and comprehensive set of expertise that is otherwise hard to find in the market.
Sergey joined the ALRUD team in 2015. His professional experience includes working for one of the "Big Four" consulting firms (tax dispute resolution group).

Sergey is a member of the Moscow Region Bar Association and the International Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA), where he serves as a representative on the Tax Law Committee. Sergey is also a member of the tax committees of various international business associations, including the Association of European Businesses (AEB) and the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia (AmCham Russia).

Education
Sergey graduated from Kutafin Moscow State Law University with a degree in law, a diploma in professional translation from English, and has completed the MBA Essentials for Lawyers program.
