Samir Mouawad is a corporate associate in Dykema's Bloomfield Hills, Michigan office. His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, cannabis law, as well as trademark applications and copyright registrations. He also assists clients with drafting and negotiating agreements with key customers, manufacturers and other technology partners.

Mr. Mouawad received his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Michigan State College of Law. He received the scholarship for Academic Excellence in Corporate and Business Classes from the Association of Corporate Counsel. Mr. Mouawad graduated with honors in Sociology and a minor in Political Science from the University of Windsor. During his undergraduate degree, Mr. Mouawad was a captain and starter for the University of Windsor football team.

Prior to entering law school, Mr. Mouawad worked for FCA Canada at the Windsor Assembly Plant as a Production Control Supervisor. He gained knowledge of the auto industry and worked closely with many OEM suppliers. Mr. Mouawad is currently the Antitrust Counsel for the OESA's Young Leadership Council 7.
