Profile
Rita is a managing associate in the Banking and Finance and Capital Markets practice where she focuses on financing transactions and on banking and capital markets regulation and supervision.
She has experience in structured finance, real estate finance and debt restructure finance, having represented lenders and sponsors in many major transactions across several business areas such as energy production, industrial manufacturing, retail, tourism and hospitality, and infrastructure concessions.
Rita has also been particularly active in debt issuance transactions, having advised issuers, noteholders and other stakeholders on securitisation transactions and on the implementation of commercial paper and green bonds issuance programmes.
She also advises international credit institutions and financial companies on regulation and supervision matters relating to banking and investment activities, collective investment schemes, payment services and virtual assets.
In 2020, Rita worked as secondee at the European Investment Bank where she provided legal advice and support to financing operations in Spain and Portugal.
Rita has a master's in law and management from the Faculty of Law of Universidade Cat lica Portuguesa, Lisbon, and she attended an intensive specialisation course in collective investment schemes at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon.
