Profile
Nick is a disputes, insurance and product liability lawyer. He joined Shoosmiths in 2022.
Nick's insurance experience spans policy coverage disputes across a wide range of policies, including professional indemnity, construction all risks, title indemnity, fleet motor and structural defects insurance. He also provides non-contentious advice on FCA-regulated insurance products and activities and restricted financial promotions.
In product liability, he has experience of both commercial and consumer product liability disputes, including defending personal injury claims.
Nick also has experience across a wide range of other disputes, including professional negligence, employer's liability and claims under the Equality Act 2010, as well as Public Inquiry work.
Prior to his career in law, Nick studied modern languages at the University of Bristol and translation at the Universities of Bologna (Italy) and Vic (Spain), and spent the best part of a decade in book publishing, attending fellowships in Seoul, Paris, Amsterdam and Frankfurt.
