Profile

Monica is an associate in the Corporate Law Department of Garrigues. She has experience advising clients in all types of mergers and acquisitions, and transactional law. Her practice includes foreign investment, joint-ventures, shareholders' disputes, minority rights and corporate governance issues.

Before joining Garrigues, Monica worked for Cervantes Sainz, S.C., where she practiced in the corporate and transactional departments of the firm.

Education

Mónica acquired her first law degree at the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City, and obtained a Diploma certificate (postgraduate studies) in Finance and Banking Law from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM).
Additionally, she received an LL.M. degree from Northwestern University, Pritzker School of Law, Chicago, Illinois, in 2020.
