Midori Sagara is Special Counsel in the Firm's Seattle office, and a member of the Litigation practice group. Ms. Sagara focuses her practice on products liability, mass tort defense, toxic tort and asbestos litigation, and third-party insurance defense. She handles litigation on behalf of clients ranging from pharmaceutical companies, product manufacturers, individual and corporate policy holders, and insurers.

In her time at Buchalter, Ms. Sagara has developed a strong focus in toxic tort and talc litigation, which has involved work in all aspects of written discovery, pre-trial and trial motion practice, company witness development, document analysis and retention, and the use of these litigation aspects and tools to develop and support defense strategies for clients.  She has also worked closely with experts in various pertinent fields in the industry to these same ends.

Prior to joining Buchalter, Ms. Sagara spent several years at national and regional insurance defense firms, where she defended casualty, automobile, and premises carriers in litigation. She also has experience defending mortgage banks in pre-litigation matters and litigation.
