Marivyn-Blaire Tchoula Tchokonte is an Associate at ENS in the Dispute Resolution practice.
Marivyn-Blaire specialises in commercial and private civil litigation, arbitration and mediation.
Her experience includes advising in respect of a broad range of litigious and non-litigious matters, including contractual disputes; medical negligence claims; company law issues such as directors’ duties, director liability, and shareholder rights; property law matters relating to lease disputes and agreements for the sale of immovable property; and public law issues, particularly those involving tender irregularities. She also has experience in interpreting legislation and assessing its applicability to client-specific queries i.e. City of Cape Town Municipal Planning By-Laws.
In addition, Marivyn-Blaire is also experienced in fraud and corruption investigations conducted by the Special Investigating Unit, as well as financial-crime investigations undertaken by the Financial Sector Conduct Authority. She has advised clients across various sectors and industries, including state-owned entities, transport, consumer goods, telecommunications, and private individuals.
She has assisted a variety of clients, including national and international, listed and unlisted companies, and individuals in various forums including arbitrations, mediations, the Magistrates’ Court and the High Court.
She is a member of the Cape Town Attorneys’ Association.
