Mario Eduardo Rios Saldaña is a senior associate at the Tax Department in Mexico City Office.

Previously to join Garrigues Mexico, S.C., he used to work for more than five years in Tax Litigation and Dispute Resolution Area in KPGM, in the two offices: Mexico City and Guadalajara. Besides, he was admitted to do his practices in the Interamerican Courte of Human Rights in San Jose, Costa Rica and CEJIL.

Along his career, he developed such experience into the advising clients of several productive sectors during powers of verifications, requirements, invitation letters, procedures in order to demonstrate the veracity of operations and any other procedure before the federal and local tax authorities, as well as the alternative dispute resolution procedures and all kind of legal means of defense such as ordinary, extraordinary, summary and substance over form in tax, constitutional and administrative matters.

He graduated as attorney at law from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente (ITESO).
He has studied several graduates and seminars about Tax matters, accountant matters and legal means of defense matters from the Instituto Mexicano de Análisis Tributario, S.C., ICEI and the Centro de Formación Empresarial.
By the other side, Mario completed his foreign studies at the Universidad de Alcalá, (Alcalá de Henares España) as well as in the International Language Schools of Canada (Vancouver, Canadá).
In addition to his exceptional work, he was selected as the "High Potential" member from the firm KPMG, therefore he was participate in the Ability of Negotiation and Strategic Vision Program in collaboration with the Universidad del Valle de México (UVM), Santa Fe, Mexico City Campus.
He has been invited in numeral events of the Instituto Mexicano de Contadores Públicos but at the same time by the Colegio de Contadores Públicos.
