Marek is the head of the tax department at the Garrigues office in Warsaw. He has extensive experience in a variety of areas of tax consulting - income tax, transfer pricing and tax proceedings in various sectors, including commercial real estate, construction, energy, industrial (aerospace, furniture, food, pharmaceutical), retail, media, and new technologies. In his career, he has participated in numerous M&A transactions, including the largest transactions on the Polish market. He routinely assists clients with current tax matters or proceedings before the tax authorities and courts. He gained his previous professional experience in 'Big Four' companies.

Marek Karasiewicz is a member of the Polish Chamber of Tax Advisors.

Marek is a graduate of the Institute of International Relations at the University of Warsaw (2004) and the Warsaw School of Economics. He also completed post-graduate studies on methods of valuation of capital companies at the Warsaw School of Economics (2015). He holds the International Certified Transfer Pricing Expert® certificate issued by the Institute of Tax, Accounting and Finance in Edinburgh, Scotland.
