His practice focuses on tax advice and tax planning, particularly in the context of reorganizations and entity acquisitions and sales. He works in various fields, including investment and trade, particularly on a cross-border basis. His expertise also includes taxation of non-profit organizations, including their regulation and financing.

Lucas's approach is based on a pragmatic analysis of tax and commercial efficiency requirements; the tax strategy applied must take into account actual and perceived impacts and address key issues before they become a problem.

Lucas holds a master's degree in law with a concentration in taxation and teaches taxation principles at his alma mater, the University of Montreal. He never misses an opportunity to share his knowledge through conferences and articles for renowned organizations and publications, including the University of Montreal and the Association de planification fiscale et financière, where he is a member of the training committee for the next generation.
