Patent counsel grounded in engineering training

Lauren McComis guides clients on patent prosecution for national and international patent portfolios. She has significant experience prosecuting applications both in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and filings under the Patent Cooperative Treaty. She has developed technical knowledge in areas such as:

• Artificial intelligence (AI), including machine learning, generative AI (Gen-AI), large language models (LLMs) and agentic AI
• Data Technologies, including Blockchain technology, Big Data and data analytics, cybersecurity and privacy-enhancing technologies
• Software and Consumer Electronics, including financial technology (FinTech), user software applications and devices, virtual and augmented reality, and anti-fraud applications
• Autonomous Systems and Industrial Control, including heavy machinery, vehicles, industrial automation and manufacturing, and building management technologies
