Kathleen is a senior counsel in the Banking and Finance and Capital Markets practices. She specialises in advising on project finance, securitisation, investment funds, banking regulatory and capital markets, among others.

In recent years, Kathleen has worked on securitisation operations, sales of financial companies and sales of credits. She has also provided regulatory advice for the setting up of investment funds and financial companies. Kathleen advised the legal department of Novo Banco offering support to the middle and front office in the negotiation of ISDA and ICMA agreements, financing operations and bond issuances.

Kathleen started her career in Brazil. After she moved to Portugal, she worked as legal counsel on secondment at Novo Banco and as an associate at SRS Advogados in the banking and finance and capital markets practices. For the last two and a half years, Kathleen worked as a senior associate in the structured debt team at Clifford Chance in London.

She is admitted to both the Portuguese and Brazilian Bar Associations.
