Julen Fonseca Gatzagaetxebarria is a principal associate in the Labor and Employment practice, having spent his entire professional career at Garrigues.
He has extensive experience in litigation in both the labor and judicial review jurisdictions, in a wide range of matters relating to labor and social security law.
He provides recurring advice to Spanish companies in the public and private sectors, as well as to international companies, on: hiring, individual and collective dismissals, disciplinary proceedings, suspension of contracts and modification of working conditions, senior management, expatriate workers and social security matters.
He regularly contributes to specialist labor and employment law fora (Foro Aranzadi Social, APD, Ilustre Colegio de la Abogacía de Bizkaia, etc.). Also, starting on 2021, he teaches at Deusto University in Employment and Social Security Law.
Julen Fonseca Gatzagaetxebarria is a member of the Bizkaia Bar Association.
