Juan González Ortega is a principal associate in the Corporate Department at Garrigues. He is based in the firm's headquarters in Madrid.

During 2013 he was seconded at the Advisory Unit of the Legal Department of the Bank of Spain and during 2017 he was seconded as an International Associate at Ropes & Gray in London.

He has been involved in multiple and relevant M&A, private equity, and securities offering transactions (issues of fixed- and variable-income securities and tender offers, among others), advising Spanish and international clients including private equity funds, financial entities and insurance companies, with a banking and regulatory component in many of them.

He also provides recurring advice to financial institutions and other regulated entities on regulatory matters, corporate law, and commercial contract matters.
