Jose Carrizo is a Partner and co-leads the Litigation & Dispute Resolution and Constitutional Law & Human Rights Defense practice areas at Morgan & Morgan. He also plays a prominent role in the Firm's Arbitration & ADR practice.

With over 30 years of experience, he has advised national and international clients in complex judicial proceedings before the jurisdictional body of the Republic of Panama, including civil, administrative, criminal courts, among others. His client portfolio includes well-known international law firms, private companies, banking and financial institutions, multinational corporations, and government agencies.

He has participated in high-stakes cases across civil, criminal, administrative, commercial, banking, insolvency, and insurance law. His experience also includes restructuring, insolvency, refinancing, and asset recovery processes involving multimillion-dollar claims.

In the field of arbitration, he has extensive experience in both domestic and international proceedings. He has served as an arbitrator for the National Arbitration and Mediation (NAM) center based in New York and has acted as an expert witness in Panamanian law before U.S. courts. Additionally, he is a frequent speaker at international conferences and the author of various national and international publications on the subject.
