Profile
Jorge Echanove is a senior associate in Garrigues' restructuring and insolvency practice.
He has extensive experience in advising clients on corporate distress situations, both in the pre-insolvency phase and in the insolvency proceeding, and in defending the interests of both debtors and creditors.
He also has notable experience in transactions involving the sale and purchase of assets and businesses of companies with financial difficulties (distressed investments), as well as in the sale and purchase of loan portfolios.
He has been a lecturer at Centro Universitario Villanueva since 2017, where he teaches the subject of insolvency law in the Master's Degree for Admission to the Bar. He has also taught classes on insolvency law in the law degree programs at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos and Universidad Pontificia Comillas.
Jorge Echanove is a member of the Madrid Bar Association.
