In addition, Mr. August's has an extensive background in representing financial institutions and borrowers in the drafting and negotiating of term and construction loan financing documentation, along with managing workouts for distressed facilities. Mr. August has also represented servicers of securitized financial assets, handling new loan originations along with loan assumptions, dispositions, and equity transfers for loans already securitized. Due to the time-sensitive nature of many financing transactions and workouts, Mr. August's focus is on ensuring timely closings for his clients, whether it is for new credit facilities or existing loans.

Finally, Mr. August counsels clients with real property assets in connection with larger corporate transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions or the establishment of subsidiary holding companies. These services include summarizing existing and to-be-acquired assets as well as handling entity formation, corporate governance, and financing documentation.

Mr. August serves as an Issue Editor for the California Real Property Journal, is a member of both the Leasing Subcommittee of the California Lawyers Association and of BOMA San Francisco's Government Affairs and Policial Action Committee. He is also a member of both the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Commercial Real Estate Finance Council.
