Profile

Jacob is a national trial lawyer who represents companies in their most consequential disputes, including those involving substantial financial exposure, reputational risk, and high-stakes outcomes. With an innate ability to swiftly comprehend difficult issues to implement a winning strategy, he regularly represents multinational corporations in complex litigation across a variety of subjects and industries, including financial services, technology, media, retail, and energy, as well as high-profile entertainment and professional sports matters.

Jacob has played a leading role in some of the firm's most significant trials across the country. He delivered the closing argument that led up to a $16+ million jury verdict in a dispute among ticket management competitors, secured a $21 million commercial construction verdict recognized among the top commercial verdicts nationally that year, and, most recently, tried a landmark wage and hour class action with far-reaching industry implications. He also co-led a two-month financial institution jury trial that resulted in a complete defense verdict, even as co-defendants faced a nearly nine-figure liability and punitive finding.

Frequently deployed on accelerated timelines when trial is imminent and the margin for error is minimal, Jacob takes control of strategy, aligns trial teams, refines case themes, and executes in the courtroom. He is known for quickly mastering large, complex factual records, identifying issues that will drive outcome, and presenting facts and argument with clarity and precision to judges and juries alike.

Jacob has substantial experience in consumer class actions and privacy litigation, including high-exposure claims involving emerging data-use theories, consumer protection statutes, and rapidly evolving regulatory frameworks. His work in this space spans some of the most scrutinized and fast-moving areas of litigation, where he advises major consumer-facing companies on risk at the intersection of technology, data, and regulation.

Drawing on his trial background, Jacob approaches each matter with a focus on early case framing, aggressive motion practice, and positioning the action for dispositive outcomes or favorable resolution. He is adept at navigating novel legal theories before courts addressing issues for the first time, while maintaining a practical, business-oriented perspective that aligns legal strategy with broader client objectives.
