Partner in the Corporate/Commercial Department of Garrigues, he has been a specialist in corporate and commercial law for more than 25 years, particularly in the areas of Mergers, Acquisitions and Reorganizations (M&A), Commercial Contracts and Corporate Law, and is a recognized expert in these areas.

As part of his extensive experience, he has intervened in numerous national and international operations, coordinating multidisciplinary teams in these endeavours, including their financing and the legal planning of investments and other projects. He has participated in multiple investment processes in Spain for foreign clients, at the same time as actively managing the leadership and complete legal counsel of Spanish companies in foreign countries, paying particular attention to legal issues relating to contracting, investments, joint ventures, acquisitions or divestments in foreign companies. In these processes, he underlines his special experience in assessing clients in the industrial sector in the area of automation, aviation, services, energy and distribution, including advice to investment funds and family offices in transactions and on a recurring basis. He is secretary of the board of directors and legal advisor to Spanish companies, family businesses and multinationals.

He has held full responsibility for the management and direction of general legal issues of many of these companies in the area of the relationship with shareholders, government, corporate law and contracting, underlining his suitability of the resolution of organizational conflicts and generational transition. He has been appointed observer in management bodies of foreign subsidiaries for various clients.

He has lectured on the Master's Degree in Legal Consultancy at the University of Deusto and at the Garrigues Study Centre, while being at this time a member of the Master Tribunal of that university. Concurrently he is a collaborator and regular speaker in different courses organized by entities like APD, CEBEK, Chambers of Commerce, and the College of Economists, having published several articles on commercial issues in various publications.

For years he has been recognised annually by the US publication The Best Lawyers (Spain edition), having been included in its latest 2020 edition in the categories of Corporate / Mergers & Acquisitions and Banking & Finance.

In his pro bono activity, he participates as a legal advisor to non-profit organisations, being secretary of certain foundations linked to social integration and having contributed throughout his career to the implementation and advice of projects with a social impact.

He is a member of the Vizcaya Bar Association.
