Profile
Henrik is a partner in Plesner's Corporate Finance team, renowned for his extensive experience in all aspects of private equity, including growth equity transactions, leveraged buyouts, going private transactions, recapitalisations, and exits. He also specialises in corporate M&A and governance, bringing over two decades of expertise to the table.
Since 2001, Henrik has advised on more than 250 M&A transactions, which makes him a key player on the Danish M&A scene. His deep involvement in some of the largest and most complex deals has earned him recognition as one of the top three legal advisors in Denmark measured by the number of transactions (source: mergermarket.com).
Henrik's academic credentials include a Master's degree in Law from the University of Copenhagen, an LL.M. from Harvard Law School and a license to practice in New York. His early career at White & Case in New York provided him with significant cross-border transaction experience, which he continues to leverage for private equity and corporate clients across the Nordics and globally.
Henrik's leadership extends beyond client work; he chairs Plesner's International Relations Committee and has been an active member of the Harvard Law School Association of Europe, serving as its president from 2013 to 2016. His contributions to the legal field are widely recognised, with consistent rankings as a leading individual in Corporate/M&A by Chambers Global and Chambers Europe.
Henrik is celebrated for his commercial acumen, clear communication, and innovative problem-solving. He frequently acts for major private equity firms and blue-chip corporates, helping them navigate high-value, multi-jurisdictional transactions. His approach combines excellent legal skills with a deep understanding of client needs, which makes him an invaluable advisor in the M&A landscape.
