Giuseppe De Simone is Co-Head of the Banking & Finance Department at Gianni & Origoni and he is currently Co-Managing Partner of the Firm.

He has a long, consolidated and extensive experience in all the areas of banking & finance law. He assists domestic and international investment banks, private equity funds and companies in domestic and cross-border transactions in all fields of banking & finance, with specific focus on financing matters (including acquisition financing, real estate financing and IPO financing), restructuring transactions (including debt restructuring and assistance in the preparation of the relevant restructuring plans), structured finance and NPLs transactions.

He is recommended by The Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners legal directories for banking and finance and real estate finance.

Before joining the firm, Giuseppe specialised in corporate finance and gained significant experience working at primary Italian banks and companies and at leading Italian law firm.

He has also worked in the London office of Gianni & Origoni.

He graduated in Law in 2000 from the University LUISS “Guido Carli” in Rome.

Giuseppe is currently adjunct professor (professore a contratto) at the Università degli studi LUM "Jean Monnet” (“Economia e management” faculty), for the degree course in “Corporate Finance Law".

He is often a speaker at conferences and seminars on banking and finance.

He is currently Vice Chair of the Structured Finance Subcommittee of the International Bar Association (IBA).

He is a member of the Italian Bar since 2003.

He speaks Italian and English.
