Francisco Lavandera is a partner in the Tax Department. He joined Garrigues in September 2000 and has pursued his professional career at the firm since then.

He specializes in international taxation, providing tax advice to Spanish business groups in processes for their internationalization, as well as to foreign investors, both industrial and financial, on setting up for business or investing in Spain. He has participated in numerous M&A transactions and has advised foreign financial institutions and funds in the analysis of the tax aspects of their products or investment schemes.

He provides recurring tax advice to multinational groups with presence in Spain and to Spanish family-run businesses in the context of their business activities.

He is a lecturer in international taxation on the Master's Degree in Tax Management and Consulting at ESADE and on the Introductory Course in International Taxation offered by the Barcelona Bar Association. He also regularly takes part in seminars and conferences at academic, business and legal institutions and forums.
