Profile
Eliza Semkina is an associate at the banking and finance practice group, also providing legal assistance in matters related to M&A and corporate law.
Before joining Ellex in Latvia, Eliza worked in the field of alternative investment funds in Luxembourg assisting with the set-up of new fund structures and the ongoing legal servicing of funds, as well as gaining considerable experience by working in a law firm in Latvia working on a full spectrum of corporate, M&A and immigration matters.
Eliza has improved her professional experience in several internships both on an EU level - at the European Court of Auditors, as well as at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia. She has been an active member in various youth organisations, with some highlights including volunteer work in China and Hong Kong and being the Latvian delegate at the 4th ASEFYL Summit.
