Profile

Trusted counsel for complex intellectual property litigation

Dawn David guides clients through every stage of offensive and defensive litigation - from discovery and early resolution strategies through trial and favorable settlement negotiations. Her practice centers on complex intellectual property (IP) litigation, including matters involving patents, trademarks, trade dress, copyrights, trade secrets and false advertising. She also represents clients in patent infringement actions before the International Trade Commission (ITC) and in inter partes review (IPR) proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB).

Dawn also provides comprehensive invalidity, patentability, freedom-to-operate, and infringement opinions and analyses, grounded in a deep understanding of how these issues play out in real-world disputes. Dawn's trial and litigation experience gives her a strategic edge - enabling her to assess risks and opportunities not just from a theoretical standpoint, but with a practical, courtroom-tested perspective. Beyond IP, she also has successfully handled a wide range of disputes, including contract, employment and environmental contamination litigation, as well as being involved in global asset recovery efforts and internal investigations.

Dawn thinks outside the box, crafting litigation strategies that align with each client's business objectives and helps them achieve meaningful results. A fearless advocate for her clients, Dawn skillfully navigates her work with opposing counsel and court proceedings to deliver favorable, efficient outcomes.
