Profile

Daniel Valldosera is the partner in charge of the Indirect Taxation service line in Barcelona and has spent his entire professional career at Garrigues after a stint with Arthur Andersen. He took charge of the service line after more than ten years of providing general tax advisory services, particularly in the financial and real estate industries, and participating in numerous M&A deals.

He provides recurring advice to businesses and companies in sectors where VAT is a major consideration due to its cost, such as the financial, insurance, real estate, gaming and healthcare sectors, and with respect to foundations.

He also provides recurring advice on indirect taxation to a great many clients of the Barcelona office, particularly on highly complex matters, endeavoring to provide a flexible, reliable and high quality service. He analyzes aspects of indirect taxation in many M&A deals and acts as adviser to a significant number of groups regarding the application of the special VAT grouping scheme.

He has broad experience in inspection proceedings and in court proceedings, with his extensive knowledge of EU case law on indirect taxation proving highly useful.

Daniel is a member of the Barcelona Bar Association and of the Cataluña Economists Association.

He is also a habitual speaker at seminars and conferences organized by the firm.
