Profile
Mr. Tzafrir is the head of FBC's Environmental Department and has extensive experience in both the criminal and civil aspects of environmental law.
His expertise spans a broad spectrum of the environmental law field, including environmental risk management, air and water pollution, land contamination, solid and hazardous waste, green construction, recycling, land use planning & zoning, radiation pollution, and renewable energy.
Prior to joining FBC, Mr. Tzafrir served as the Global Environmental Manager at Frutarom Ltd., where he acquired technical know-how and practical experience, conducting and managing environmental risk management programs for the company's 15 sites worldwide. Prior thereto (between 2001-2007), he served as a legal adviser to Israel's Ministry of Environmental Protection, and as a prosecutor on behalf of the Attorney General.
Mr. Tzafrir practiced as a legal adviser to the Minister's representatives to the Planning and Building Committees and the Minister's representatives to the Intergovernmental Licensing Committee, and was appointed as the Israeli representative of the Ministry of Environmental Protection to the UNEP Expert Group, with regard to the legislation of regional environmental conventions.
