Ciprian Paun has over 20 years of experience in the legal profession and is Co-Head of NNDKP Cluj-Napoca Office.
Ciprian guides clients through a broad range of transactional, commercial and operational matters, with a particular emphasis on the corporate and tax areas. On the corporate side, he brings his expertise in domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, as well as other general corporate advisory matters, helping clients implement their business optimization plans, while in the tax area, he regularly assists clients in resolving a wide range of tax contentious matters.
Actively involved in academia, Ciprian has held various research and teaching positions in the areas of tax and business law at Plymouth State University (USA), Ecole de Management de Normandie (Caen and Le Havre France), Economic University of Vienna (Vienna, Austria), and University of Regensburg (Germany, University of Essen (Essen, Germany), University of Bucharest, Faculty of Law, West University of Timisoara, Faculty of Law and is currently Associate Professor, Ph.D., at the Babes-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca.
He is a member of NNDKP Center of Excellence in Fiscal Disputes (CELF), and EATLP (European Association of Tax Law Professor), the most important legal associations of tax law professors in Europe.
