Profile

Antonio Morales Mutis is a partner in Garrigues' Banking and Finance practice area.

He has extensive experience in different kinds of financing operations, at both national and international levels, advising creditors, debtors and sponsors in energy projects, infrastructures projects and acquisitions and on corporate matters.

On the other hand, he advises many Chilean and foreign entities on a regular basis on banking matters, having been involved in processes for the formation of banking companies in Chile and engagements relating to other banking regulation and compliance matters. He has also been actively involved in the provision of advisory services on matters relating to insurance and aviation law, among other areas.

Prior to joining Garrigues, Antonio worked as an associate lawyer at Estudio Morales & Besa.

He has served as adjunct professor in procedural law on the teaching staff of the Faculty of Law of Universidad Católica de Valparaíso (2011-2015).

Education

He studied law at the Faculty of Law of Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso and qualified as a lawyer in 2008. He obtained a Master of Laws degree from University of Southampton in 2009.

He co-translated, along with Professor Álvaro Pérez Ragone, the work of Professor Neil Andrews (University of Cambridge) published in Spanish under the title "Justicia Civil Inglesa", Editorial Temis, Colombia (2013).
