Profile
André Piteira is a senior associate in the area of Industrial and Intellectual Property. He provides recurrent legal advice to clients from a wide range of sectors on industrial and intellectual property matters, namely on the strategy for the protection and exploitation of these rights.
In particular, he has vast experience in judicial and arbitral litigation involving industrial property rights, having represented national and international clients in actions relating to patent infringement (mainly pharmaceutical patents), trademarks and designs, as well as in proceedings for declaration of nullity or annulment.
André Piteira is a member of the Portuguese Bar Association.
Education
Law Degree from Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
Master of Advanced Studies in European Law from the University of Ghent (Belgium).
Master of Advanced Studies in European Law from the University of Ghent (Belgium).
Completed the "Negotiation and Dispute Resolution" programme at Harvard Law School.
