Antonio Matute is a counsel in the Tax practice area.

Since starting off his professional career in Andersen, Antonio has specialized in tax law, focusing primarily on business taxation and, in particular, on international tax matters relating to the internationalization of Spanish companies and the investments in Spain of multinational groups, in addition to M&A transactions, indirect taxation and tax advisory services to high-net-worth individuals.

He also provides advice on a recurring basis to companies and multinational groups linked in particular to the energy, automotive and food sectors, in relation to both matters regulated by the general Spanish tax legislation and aspects subject to the special tax legislation applicable in the Basque Country.

Antonio has given papers at Universidad del País Vasco and Universidad de Deusto and frequently takes part in seminars and conferences put on by business organizations such as Asociación para el Progreso de la Dirección and Colegio Vasco de Economistas.

He is a member of the Bar Association of the Basque Country.
