Profile
Ana Sousa is a Senior Associate of the Tax Department.
She has broad experience in providing tax advice to local and international clients, mainly in the construction, real estate, mining, services, retail and financial sectors, and she has participated in the formalization of concession agreements with the State of Peru and Public-Private Partnership. She has worked on engagements relating to tax planning, corporate restructuring, financing transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and the application of international tax treaties.
Before joining the Garrigues team, Ana worked at different law firms in Lima, and was a senior lawyer in the Tax Consulting area of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). She has also worked as a legal consultant in the Legal Department of the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington D.C.
Ana is a member of the Lima Bar Association (CAL).
Education
Degree in Law from the University of Lima.
Master's degree in Law (LL.M.) with a specialization in International Business and Economic Law from Georgetown University.
