Profile
Alvaro Tomas is a Partner at Morgan & Morgan and vice president of the firm's Estate Planning & Corporate Services Unit, where he leads with a strategic focus and oversees the entire operation of this business area of the organization.
Prior to joining Morgan & Morgan, Alvaro worked for more than 30 years in both local and foreign banking and financial institutions in the Republic of Panama including Lloyds Bank Plc and Banistmo. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Panama Stock Exchange and several securities brokers.
He has also served on the Board of Directors of important state-owned institutions such as Caja de Ahorros, Panama s Sovereign Wealth Fund (FAP) and Cable & Wireless Plc. (Panama) and has also served as a member of the National Committee on Foreign Relations.
He is currently the president of the Panamanian Association of Compliance Companies (APEC) and member of the Board of Directors of Quantia AFP Corp. a local private pension fund administrator.
