Alexis Buese focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation with a particular emphasis on consumer-facing industries and retail brands. She regularly defends financial institutions, retailers, and consumer product companies in high-stakes class actions and bet-the-company disputes involving advertising and marketing practices, pricing and promotional claims, alleged hidden fees, product defect and warranty issues, data privacy and consumer data collection, and other unfair and deceptive trade practice allegations.

Alexis has extensive experience defending consumer class actions across the retail, e-commerce, apparel, furniture, food and beverage, dietary supplement, beauty, fitness, and lifestyle sectors. She counsels brands on litigation risk arising from advertising, branding, consumer engagement strategies, and evolving regulatory frameworks impacting retailers and online platforms.

In addition, Alexis is nationally recognized for her work in telemarketing and consumer contact litigation. She regularly represents clients in matters brought under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), Florida Telephone Solicitation Act (FTSA), and other state consumer protection statutes, and she frequently writes and speaks on telemarketing compliance, surveillance and algorithmic pricing risk, as well as emerging enforcement trends affecting retailers and consumer brands.

Her practice also includes financial services litigation, contract disputes, and real estate-related matters, allowing her to bring a practical, business-focused perspective to complex litigation that directly impacts brand reputation and enterprise value.

In addition to litigation, Alexis also works with clients to assess their product and service offerings and mitigate litigation risk, including by creating enforceable e-commerce agreements, including the drafting and implementation of effective terms and conditions.
