Profile
Alex Thrasher is a partner in the Construction Practice Group with more than 17 years of experience in the construction industry. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Alex worked 10 years as a project manager responsible for construction projects in the power generation, water and wastewater, oil and gas, and pulp and paper industries. He draws on that prior experience to bring a practical view to cases and achieve successful outcomes for his clients.
Alex advises clients on all aspects of project administration, dispute avoidance, claim management, and dispute resolution. He has significant first and second-chair trial experience and is adept at managing cases throughout all phases of a dispute. He has obtained numerous final verdicts or awards in state and federal courts and in arbitrations before the AAA and ICC.
Alex’s broad litigation experience includes disputes involving construction defects, project delays, differing site conditions, change orders and directives, contract termination, lien and bond claims, and insurance coverage issues. His experience also spans numerous industries, including renewable energy, conventional power generation, healthcare, hospitality, infrastructure, and commercial and retail development.
