Profile
Adriano Antonietti advises domestic and foreign banking and financial institutions, as well as collective investment schemes, portfolio and asset managers or trustees on several matters, in particular licensing, regulatory issues, private placements and the drafting of banking and commercial contracts and documents. Having acted as expert mandated by the Swiss financial regulator (FINMA) in various supervisory and enforcement procedures, and defended banks and their clients in a number of disputes has allowed him to gain an extensive expertise of the various mechanics of banks in particular, and the financial industry in general.
Apart of financial services, Adriano Antonietti regularly deals with all aspects of corporate and commercial law, among other mergers and acquisitions (whether or not in the financial industry), restructuring and the drafting of various commercial agreements and arrangements, more specifically in the industry of luxury goods and services.
As member of Walder Wyss' startup practice group, Adriano Antonietti also regularly has the opportunity to support entrepreneurs at an early stage of their project, always endeavoring to provide them with pragmatic and business oriented solutions.
In 2005, Adriano Antonietti obtained a law degree (lic. iur.) from the University of Fribourg. Before joining Walder Wyss he worked as a senior associate with another major law firm in Geneva and Zurich.
Adriano Antonietti speaks French, English, German, and Italian. He also has some fair knowledge of Russian. He is registered with the Geneva Bar Registry and admitted to practice in all Switzerland.
